JM Tobacco has officially released the Española Corojo as a regular production cigar, following its debut as a limited edition in 2024 under the name “Year of the Dragon.” The company cites strong consumer demand as the reason for making the cigar a permanent addition to its Española line.
Since its launch, Española Corojo has received industry recognition, including a 94 rating from Cigar & Spirits Magazine, where it also placed No. 6 on the publication’s 2024 Cigar of the Year list. It earned a 93 rating from Enthusiast Report and was named No. 3 on their Best Boutique Cigars of 2024.
Produced in the Dominican Republic, the cigar features an authentic Corojo wrapper and a medium-to-full-bodied profile. The flavor profile includes notes of warm spice, cedar, roasted nuts, and a touch of natural sweetness.
The Española Corojo is currently available in a 6 x 52 Toro size, with three additional sizes in production: Robusto (5 x 50), Churchill (6 3/4 x 50), and Belicoso (6 x 52), the latter expected to debut later this year.
The Española line now includes three core offerings—Connecticut, Maduro, and Corojo—all available at retailers nationwide.
