Toscano has announced that their Toscano Brenta cigars are returning to the U.S. market. The Italian-made cigar, known for its distinctive departure from Toscano’s traditional fire-cured method, will once again be available to American smokers.
Handcrafted in Campese, near Bassano del Grappa in Northern Italy, the Brenta is composed entirely of Nostrano del Brenta tobacco—a dark air-cured Havana leaf aged between three and five years. It’s Toscano’s first cigar to utilize air-curing, followed by a unique re-fermentation and six months of maturation.
This approach results in a mellow-bodied cigar with a complex profile. Smokers can expect evolving notes of hazelnut, walnut, leather, dry florals, and wood throughout the smoking experience.
“The return of the Toscano Brenta to the U.S. market is a clear reflection of the extraordinary response it received from American cigar smokers,” said Luciano Simeone, USA Director of Manifatture Sigaro Toscano. “It’s a cigar that breaks with the conventional Toscano fire cure yet stays true to our identity. Smokers recognized its authenticity, elegance, and Italian soul.”
The Brenta is rolled in Toscano’s signature conical shape (56 ring gauge, 4.14 inches in length) and is recommended alongside Caribbean rum or rye whiskey to complement its flavor profile.
Toscano Brenta is expected to begin appearing at U.S. retailers nationwide in the coming days.
