Hiram & Solomon Cigars Appoints Benoît Bail VP of Sales

Hiram & Solomon Cigars has named Benoît Bail as its new vp of sales, a role that will see him oversee global sales strategy and execution, build the U.S. market organization, and deepen partnerships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts worldwide. He also becomes an associate of the company.

Bail’s resume includes work in premium cigars, spirits distribution, marketing, and international commercial leadership. According to a press release, he has managed multi-country sales portfolios, developed route-to-market strategies across Europe, the Caribbean, Asia and North America, and supported trade marketing and education initiatives for the specialty retail channel.

He is also the co-founder of the Luxembourgish whisky brand Gëllene Léiw Whisky and has contributed to major trade events, including the Bordeaux Rhum Festival.

“I am honored to serve Hiram & Solomon in this capacity,” said Bail in a press release. “Our goal is simple. Make it easier for retailers and distributors to succeed with our portfolio while offering aficionados a consistent and memorable experience. We will focus on disciplined sales execution, practical education, and strong partnerships, state by state in the United States and market by market internationally.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Bail has been with Hiram & Solomon Cigars since February 2024, serving as the company’s international brand manager.

The company said that Bail will align state-level priorities and key account management in the United States, expand international coverage with clear channel strategies in Europe, the Caribbean Basin, the Middle East, and select Asia-Pacific markets, and standardize trade programs, pricing architecture, and sell-in and sell-through toolkits for partners. He will also lead retail education initiatives that include product knowledge, staff training, and guided tastings, and will strengthen sales operations and forecasting, including shared digital asset libraries for partners.
