Joya de Nicaragua has introduced the Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025, a special edition crafted exclusively for the Spanish market. The cigar is a refined version of the company’s Antaño CT line, which is known for pairing a Connecticut wrapper with a medium-to-full profile—a departure from the lighter style often associated with this leaf.
Wrapped in Ecuadorian Connecticut, the blend combines creaminess with nutty flavors, subtle spice, and touches of white pepper. The new Pata Negra edition builds on that foundation with extended aging, which Joya says brings added depth and complexity.
The release is part of JDN’s ongoing “Pata Negra” series, made in tribute to Spain. Past installments include the Antaño Gran Reserva Pata Negra, which was named “Cigar of the Year” in Spain by Burkina The Revist in 2024.
Antaño CT Pata Negra 2025 ships in a single size—Doble Robusto (5×56) with a pigtail cap—in boxes of 20. Production is limited to 400 boxes, which began arriving at Spanish retailers on August 27, 2025.
“With Antaño CT Pata Negra, we pay tribute to a blend that has captivated smokers around the world, bringing it to a more rested and refined expression. It is a celebration of our passion and of the special bond we share with Spanish aficionados,” said Juan Ignacio Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua.
