High Dollar S.T. Dupont OpusX Haute Creation Items Arrive

Just a week after the core items from S.T. Dupont’s latest collaboration with Arturo Fuente began arriving on shelves, the partnership’s more exclusive and expensive items are also beginning to arrive.

In total, there are a dozen new hand-finished lighters and one bronze bobblehead. None of the lighter models is new, but each offering is finished with hand engraving done at S.T. Dupont’s workshop in France. All of the models are decorated with Arturo Fuente and OpusX branding.

The most affordable of the bunch is the S.T. Dupont Défi Xxtrême Fuente Fuente OpusX, a special version of the double flame torch model that normally sells for around $400. This version has a gold-plated finish with the OpusX and Arturo Fuente logos carved into the side.

Each lighter has an MSRP of $2,595 and is numbered out of 288 pieces.

S.T. Dupont’s iconic Ligne 2 soft flame lighter is offered in five different options. All are identical, except for the color of the X in the OpusX logo. There’s a choice of black, blue, green, red or white.

That’s also happening with the Le Grand Dupont, a dual flame lighter that features both double soft flame as well as a single torch flame. The lighter must be activated as a soft flame, but then the user can push up on the roller wheel to activate a torch flame.

Like the Ligne 2, the S.T. Dupont Le Grand Fuente Fuente OpusX Haute Creation is offered in five different models, all are gold-plated with the only difference being the color of the X. It too is limited to 288 pieces.

Pricing is set at $12,950 and production is limited to 88 numbered pieces.

For those looking for an even more exclusive option, there’s the S.T. Dupont Le Grand Fuente Fuente OpusX Bobblehead. This takes inspiration from Arturo Fuente’s “Where is Carlito?” bobblehead, which depicts Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr., the company’s chairman.

Not only does the Le Grand lighter feature an image of the bobblehead but it also comes with a bronze bobblehead that also serves as a stand for the lighter. The bobblehead’s head does wobble.

These are priced at $23,500 and are limited to 88 pieces, though it’s unlikely that S.T. Dupont will produce that many, as each bobblehead version is made to order.
