Updated Zino Z-Collection Shipping in December

On Dec. 1, Davidoff will release an updated version of its Zino Z-Collection accessories.

The Zino Z-Collection, which has existed for years, offers consumers and retailers more affordable accessories than the Davidoff-branded products. Next month, the new Zino Z-Collection Green will ship. It contains 10 items that use a similar olive colorway that has images of a tobacco leaf; most of those items are existing products that get new colorways, though a couple of the items are entirely new.

There are three humidors, including new colors for the Z60 ($900) and Z80 ($1,190) desktop humidors, neither of which is new. Like many other Davidoff humidors, the inside of the humidor is made of Okoumé wood, which Davidoff uses because it lacks an odor. The Z60 is rated to hold up to 60 cigars, the Z80 is rated for up to 80 cigars and comes with a tray.

In addition, Davidoff is adding a Zino Z10 Travel Humidor ($635), an even smaller humidor that is designed to hold 10 cigars. Like the larger humidors, it uses Okoumé wood for the interior, but has a leather exterior instead of wood. In addition, it has a magnetic lid.

There are two leather cigar cases: the ZS2 ($160) and ZM3 ($175). The ZS2 can hold two cigars up to 60-ring gauge, while the ZM3—which looks simialr but is larger—can hold up to three cigars.

Two Zino-branded lighters are also part of the Z-Collection Green: the ZS ($120) and ZM ($150). The lighters are nearly identical: a single flame torch is activated by a pull-down ignition. The difference is that the ZM is larger and therefore has a larger fuel tank. Davidoff says the ZS can light up to 12 cigars, while the ZM can handle 20 cigars.

Each lighter includes a fuel window and has a mix of satin and glossy finishes.

There are also two cigar cutters. The Zino Z2 ($85) is a traditional double guillotine cutter that is capable of cutting cigars up to 56 ring gauge. The Zino Z9 punch ($70) has a 9mm punch that Davidoff says can work on cigars between 38-70 ring gauge.

Neither of these models is new.

The final new item is the new Zino Z1 Ashtray ($220.50), which is made of ceramic material and has a triangular shape. The ashtray has one cigar cut-out, though Davidoff says the shape makes it easy to add a second ashtray to create a rectangular shape that could accommodate two cigars.
