Elie Bleu, Maya Selva, Oliva and Plasencia have announced Year of the Goat-themed products. Chinese New Year, which starts the Year of the Goat, takes place on Feb. 6, 2027.
As the end of each year nears, an annual tradition in the cigar industry is for companies to show off new, limited edition releases inspired by the Chinese zodiac calendar. That includes both cigars and accessories.
Elie Bleu, the French company best known for its humidors, has started selling the first part of its Year of Goat collection. In total, there will be eight items that share similar goat-inspired designs, the first three of which have gone on sale today.
The star(s) of the collection are the two goat-themed humidors, the larger of which is pictured above. It’s a 250-count model that is limited to just 88 numbered pieces and priced at €7,700 ($8,765).
Both humidors use the same materials for the design:
- Dark Fur — French walnut
- Light Fur — Tamo ash
- Hoof, Muzzle & Eye Details — Dyed black sycamore
- Horns — Smoked eucalyptus and dyed black sycamore
- Eyes — Mother of pearl
- Background — Deep blue sycamore and natural sycamore
The smaller 110-count model is limited to 188 pieces and priced at €4,660 ($5,300).
Also on sale today is the Elie Blue Porcelain Ashtray Year of the Goat, which is priced at €488 ($555).
In early October, three more items will go on sale. That includes two leather cases. The two-cigar version retails for €388 ($440), while the three-cigar version is priced at €488 ($555).
There is also a Year of the Goat version of the company’s table lighter, which uses leather.
The final two items are smaller accessories, Year of the Goat versions of the EBC-4 Cigar Cutter, €230 ($260), and J-15 Lighter, €240 ($275). Both are limited to 288 pieces and expected to arrive in December.
None of these accessories are new models; rather, these are new colorways.
“Serene and determined, the Goat moves fearlessly through a cold fire with flames nuanced in shades of blue,” said the company in marketing materials explaining the inspiration. “Carried by a composition of organic forms and interplay of textures, this symbolic animal leaps towards the future with quiet strength.”
In addition, there is a new Revolución y Cienfuegos ashtray for the company’s Casa Cubana series. It is priced at €470 ($535) and went on sale today.
