Alec Bradley Chunk Sumatra Coming Oct. 1

STG’s Alec Bradley brand is getting a new addition to its Chunk series of short, thick cigars.

It’s called the Alec Bradley Chunk Sumatra, and as the name suggests, the blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, a U.S.-grown broadleaf binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. The company calls it a medium-bodied cigar highlighted by flavors of dried fruit, spices, and cedar.

It is being produced in Honduras, though the factory has not been disclosed yet.

The line is offered in three sizes, from the 4 x 60 XL to the 4 x 80 4XL, with pricing ranging from $6.49 to $9.49 per cigar.

“Chunk has been one of our favorite recurring traditions, and we’re excited to release the third dedicated Chunk cigar,” said Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley, in a press release. “Chunk Sumatra delivers the same big and bold smoking experience fans have come to love, but its smooth and nuanced profile offers remarkable quality — particularly at this approachable price point.”

The Chunk line began as a size that was added to existing lines; for instance, in September 2019, the brand released the Magic Toast Chunk, a 4 1/2 x 60 vitola for that line. Since then, the Alec & Bradley brand added the size to its Kintsugi and Gatekeeper lines.

In 2024, the Chunk became its own line by way of the Alec Bradley Chunk Maduro. That was followed up by the Alec Bradley Chunk Shade, which came out in July 2025.
