Crowned Heads has announced a rebranding of its long-standing Jericho Hill line, aligning it with the presentation style seen across several of the company’s other cigars, including Mil Días, La Imperiosa, Broadway, and Tennessee Waltz. The change is part of a broader brand update aimed at refining Crowned Heads’ presence on retail shelves and appealing to a new wave of cigar smokers.
Originally launched in 2014, Jericho Hill was inspired by Johnny Cash’s performance of “Cocaine Blues” on the 1968 live album At Folsom Prison. The line has carried that theme of grit and redemption since its debut.
“For me, Jericho Hill has always been more than a cigar,” said Crowned Heads President and Co-Owner Jon Huber. “It’s an homage to an iconic American musician, and a narrative of redemption and rebellion. The inspiration for the blend was to create a riff on a classic well-known, ultra-premium cigar, that I won’t mention by name, and to produce something of equal quality at a more approachable price.”
Huber noted that while the packaging will take on a new look, the blend itself remains untouched. “It’s a fresh chapter for Jericho Hill, but the smoke remains as potent and unforgettable as ever.”
The blend continues to be produced at the My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, and will remain available in three vitolas:
- OBS – 4 3/4″ x 52
- Willy Lee – 6″ x 54
- Jack Brown – 5″ x 56
All sizes are offered in 21-count cabinet boxes. The updated packaging will begin shipping to retailers this week.
