While plenty of retired athletes have their own licensed cigars, Dak Prescott has become one of the rare instances of an active professional athlete to get a signature cigar.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s signature adorns the latest release from Bocock Brothers and its ever-expanding collection of collegiate cigars. Before his time in Arlington, Prescott was the starting quarterback in Starkville, at Mississippi State, which is how this cigar came to be.
As for the cigar, the Dak Prescott Commemorative Cigar, it is a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigars are made at an undisclosed factory in Honduras.
Pricing is set at $32.50 per cigar and it comes in boxes of 10, which feature an image of Prescott inside the lid and his signature on both the box and bands. The Dak Prescott Commemorative Cigar is offered to stores in Mississippi. The cigars debuted this past weekend ahead of Mississippi State’s game against Texas.
In the last year, Bocock Brothers has been prolifically releasing cigars that are part of official licensing deals with various universities and their athletic departments. The list of officially licensed cigars includes Florida, LSU, the University of Louisiana, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Wake Forest.
