The House of Delamain, a storied Cognac producer celebrating over two centuries of history, is preparing to release its first Cognac crafted specifically for cigar enthusiasts: the SIG CIGAR XO. This limited-edition collaboration pairs the expertise of Delamain’s ninth-generation cellar master Charles Braastad with writer and cigar historian Aaron “Sig” Sigmond, known for The Impossible Collection of Cigars and CIGARS: A Biography.
The Cognac, made entirely from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, was developed to complement the flavors of premium cigars, a pairing tradition dating back 300 years. Sigmond, a longtime Cognac collector, called the release “a lifelong dream come true.”
Braastad emphasized the shared appreciation for time and craftsmanship between the cigar and Cognac worlds: “For years, I searched for the right words to answer their quest. Today, we have one: SIG CIGAR XO.”
The new Cognac will roll out this autumn at select cigar clubs and lounges worldwide, including Arturo Fuente Cigar Club in Santo Domingo, Club Mareva Beirut, and The Carnegie Club in New York City.
