When the international tobacco industry gathers again at the leading trade show InterTabac in Dortmund from September 18 to 20, the lineup of top-exhibitors as well as the high-quality conference programme will reflect the undiminished fascination for one of the core segments of the show. Cigars will once again be a major focus at the 45th edition of InterTabac. More than 160 exhibitors from the cigar and accessories sector alone have already registered, and the supporting programme will feature a variety of exciting, related events. These traditionally include the popular Cigar Pairings and the Cigar Blending Experience.
This year, the pairings will be led by Jens Tausch. He is an expert in the field of pairing spirits and cigars and also writes for Cigar Journal. With in-depth knowledge and keen instinct, he takes participants on an aromatic journey of discovery. On Thursday, the focus will be on cigars from the Dominican Republic, on Friday on cigars from Nicaragua, and on Saturday on cigars from Honduras. The pairings will take place at 13:00 hrs in Newsroom 1.
On Thursday and Friday afternoons, renowned master blender Claudio Sgroi will offer a special experience with his Cigar Blending Experience. In two workshops, he will provide fascinating insights into the art of cigar blending. With over 20 years of experience in the international tobacco industry, Sgroi will guide participants step by step through the world of flavors, tobacco varieties and techniques. The workshops will begin at 15:30 hrs in Newsroom 1.
