Two new line extensions from Illusione have begun shipping to stores.
Both cigars expand on lines that the company introduced last year, each of which debuted in a single vitola. One of the new cigars is the Illusione The Group of Five SE, a 6 x 56 toro extra. The Group of Five debuted last year in a 5 x 52 robusto size known as RB. When it was announced, Illusione said that there would eventually be five different vitolas for the line; SE is the second.
Blend-wise, Illusione didn’t disclose much at the time, other than to say that there is Nicaraguan criollo 98 and corojo 99 in the blend and that the blend is made by AGANORSA in Nicaragua.
The SE has an MSRP of $18.60. Each cigar is wrapped in teal-colored foil and comes in boxes of 15. While most Illusione cigars do not come in foil, the company has released other 6 x 56 toro extra cigars in foil.
Also shipping is the new OneOff Black and Tan Toro. It too is the second vitola for a line that debuted last year in a 5 x 52 robusto. And like the Group of Five, Illusione has not said much about the blend other than that it uses a type of tobacco that hadn’t been grown recently in Nicaragua and, at least for the debut robusto, was primed and then aged in bales for three years.
The OneOff Black and Tan Toro measures 6 x 52. It has an MSRP of $17.60 and comes in boxes of 10.
It too is made by AGANORSA in Nicaragua.
Both cigars are regular production line extensions.
