S.T. Dupont Introduces $70,000 Jackpot Lighter

Over the last few years, S.T. Dupont has combined lighters and watchmaking for a series inspired by a casino. These items, which are functional lighters, also feature a working casino game. Its first model was simply called Casino and had a spinning roulette wheel, the second was Lucky Skull, which had three small dice, and the newest is Jackpot, which has a slot machine.

The S.T. Dupont Haute Creátion Jackpot measures 2.6 inches tall x 1.8 inches wide and .93 inches thick. As far as the lighter, it has a double soft flame, but that’s not really why someone would buy the lighter.

On the front of the lighter’s body is a miniature slot machine that features six different icons: 7, Cherries, Crown, Diamond, Double Bar and the Dupont D logo. On the right is a lever arm with a red lacquer accent. Pulling the lever powers a modified watch movement that spins the slot machine’s three wheels. That movement is visible via a sapphire glass crystal window.

Nearly every other part of the lighter is covered in casino images and sayings like: BIG WIN, PLAY TO WIN, and 777. While there is an “INSERT COIN” icon, there’s no way to insert anything to pull the lever.

And while you don’t have to insert a coin to spin the wheels, the lighter costs $69,950.

It’s offered in four colorways that are identical, other than the colors and materials:

Like S.T. Dupont’s iconic Ligne 2 lighter, it pings when opened.

Each lighter is technically limited to 88 pieces, though they are made-to-order. As part of that process, it takes six months from ordering for S.T. Dupont to deliver the lighter.
