Crowned Heads is expanding one of its most recognizable state-themed cigars. The Tennessee Waltz, a line that’s been limited to a single size since debuting in 2014, is finally getting a broader rollout with three vitolas scheduled to ship this month.
Originally created as a tribute to Tennessee, the cigar has long been available only in a 5 1/2″ x 52 format. That changes with the introduction of a Corona Gorda (5 5/8″ x 46), the returning OG 5 1/2″ x 52, and a new 6″ x 54 Toro. While the packaging is getting a full visual refresh to match the company’s updated branding, the blend itself remains unchanged from the original.
“Tennessee Waltz began as a personal homage to my Grandfather, and since its release in 2014 has been our love letter to our home state of Tennessee,” said Crowned Heads President and Co-owner Jon Huber. “The demand from retailers and consumers outside of Tennessee over the years lead us to the decision to expand the brand, and finally give this extraordinary blend the full stage it deserves.”
Production continues at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, and all three sizes will be shipped in 21-count cabinet boxes. Pricing will range from $10.95 for the Corona Gorda to $12.95 for the Toro, with the original 5 1/2″ x 52 landing at $11.95.
The expansion marks the first major update to the Tennessee Waltz line in more than a decade and signals Crowned Heads’ intent to bring the once-state-exclusive brand to a wider audience.
