Casa Carrillo’s Pledge of Allegiance Rockets Take Flight Next Week

The fuse is lit on Casa Carrillo’s newest limited-edition, as the company will begin shipping its Perez-Carrillo Pledge of Allegiance Rockets to stores on Monday.

The release contains two cigars, both offered in a 6 3/8 x 58 figurado vitola. The first cigar, denoted by a red band around its foot, uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a Pennsylvania 41 binder, and a filler of tobacco from Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The other cigar, which wears a blue foot band, uses a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, a Connecticut Havana-seed binder, and a filler from Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Both are described as full-strength blends. Both cigars were produced at Casa Carrillo’s factory in the Dominican Republic.

The two blends come in a 20-count humidor, with 10 of each cigar included. Pricing is set at $1,000 per humidor, which works out to $50 per cigar, and with production limited to 250 humidors. The company showed off the humidor, pictured above, at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show in mid-April.

Earlier this year, the company released the first part of its Pledge of Allegiance line, a 6 x 54 toro that uses a dark Connecticut habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan fillers sourced from Condega, Jalapa and Estelí. That cigar was priced at $22 and limited to 1,776 boxes of 10 cigars, honoring the year that the United States declared its independence.

“As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, I reflect on the opportunities this country has given me and my family,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. in a press release earlier this year. “I came to the United States with a dream and the belief that through hard work and perseverance, anything was possible. This country made that dream a reality. Pledge of Allegiance is my tribute to the American Dream and to the values that have inspired generations for 250 years. Like America itself, this blend brings together different elements to create something greater than the sum of its parts. It is a celebration of freedom, opportunity, and the enduring spirit that continues to define this nation.”

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the G-League’s Valley Suns. I was previously the PA announcer for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League, and Goodyear Ballpark, spring training home of the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I’m a voiceover artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
